DETAILS and PROGRAMM

Our tours are designed entirely around you. Each day is tailored to the skills, goals, and experience level of the pilots in the group. With a maximum of six participants (typically 3–4), we work closely with every pilot and adjust the progression individually.

If this is your first trip after getting your license, we focus on building a solid and confident foundation: smooth takeoffs and landings, catching and staying in thermals, exploring a soaring site, and learning to top-land. This forms the core of what we call a “progression tour.”

If you already have experience in thermals and regular flying, we shift the focus toward refining your thermalling technique, planning efficient routes, completing your first small XC flights, and preparing for longer distances.

Below are two example itineraries:

Option 1 – Beginners
Day 1: Arrival, warm welcome, briefing, goal-setting, lunch, welcome flight, groundhandling, dinner together
Days 2–3: Soaring and top-landing. Top-landings are a key skill—they build confidence, deepen your understanding of landing approaches, and noticeably improve overall control.
Days 4–6: Thermal training in Piedechinche, usually 2–3 flights per day
Days 7–11: Gradual development of thermal and XC skills, flight planning, hopping from thermal to thermal, and your first longer XC flights. Main site: Piedechinche, with optional days in Ansermanuevo or Roldanillo.
Day 12: Final flying day, closing briefing, and a last shared lunch or dinner

Option 2 – Advanced
Day 1: Arrival, welcome, briefing, goal-setting, lunch, welcome flight, groundhandling, dinner together
Days 2–6: Flying in and around Piedechinche; improving thermalling performance, transitions, and short to mid-range XC flights (20–60 km)
Days 6–11: Exploring the classic XC terrain in Ansermanuevo and Roldanillo
Day 12: Return to Piedechinche for a final flying day, closing briefing, and farewell lunch or dinner

Both options are completely adaptable. Your wishes and goals shape the program, and we adjust each day according to conditions, safety, and your personal progression

FLY IN COLOMBIA
The Colombian tropical climate is influenced by trade winds which makes it consistent. One of the most important flying areas is the Cauca Valley, which is a paradise for free flight. It is not just about super conditions, but also about the nice people and their culture in this special place. The agricultural Valle de Cauca with its unfenced farmland and extensive road network creates a retrieve system that invites you to make the most of the go-anywhere conditions.

The topography of the valley makes it perfect for flying with interesting routes for every level pilot.

With very special conditions it is flyable all the day, the pilot has the chance to practice and improve his skills in thermalling and Cross country flights with soft and effective thermals.

In the afternoon the thermals and the soft valley wind are combined for a pleasure flight. The restitution are coming with the sunset - just perfect conditions to relax.
